The picture is a "Shadow Portrait" where the person uses...well shadow to draw a siloute of your face onto black paper then cuts it out (its of me). The fan is a victorian style fan that belongs to my mother as well as the little dangling necklace that the monkey has on it.
The cobwebs on the monkey have no story though.

<img150*0:stuff/558Proofpudding.jpg>
Date: July 1st 2009; Location: My house, Coventry, England
Explanation: The time travelers dropped by today. They had traveled from the 1870s, and when I met them on this hot day, they looked positively exhausted, so I invited them to come by my house to get out from the sun, to have a drink and to rest for a minute. They were very nice company, and they weren't much phased by any of our modern inventions, even though we had something of an argument about Charles Dickens. They refused my request to go back with them, then we traded gifts, and I took this photo as a last memory of their brief, refreshing visit.

7. "Stained Pages" - [sweet.tx.tea]
<img300*0:http://elftown.eu/img/photo/73640_1247585991.jpg>
Proof:
TO COME! I do not have it at work...:/ Only select pictures on this computer.
Date: July 14, 2009; Location: [sweet.tx.tea]'s room; Explaination: I have a fascination with old books. This specific one traveled all the way from Germany with my great grandfather; it was the only book he had in English. The ink-quill pen was a gift from my mother, years ago when I was trying to figure the art of calligraphy. The more calligraphy looking pen was used by my grandmother when she was a child, as well as the ink. My grandmother is now 84. As for the glass next to it, that is a kerosene lamp. I am not certain as to its origin, but, it certainly seemed to fit.

8. "In Memoram" - [windowframe]

10. "From The Past" - [Kelaria]

<img300*0:stuff/FromThePast.jpg>
Proof:
<img150*0:stuff/FromThePastProof.jpg>
Date: September 14th, 2009. Location: My bedroom.
Explanation: This stuffed bear and donkey both belonged to my mother when she was a baby! There is actually a photo that used to hang in my childhood bedroom that is of my mother holding this exact same bear when she was about 1-year-old! The bear and donkey are mine now and hold a lot of special meaning for me.

2009-04-25 [Linderel]: You should change this page to be freely editable. Also, the results of the sci-fi contest don't need to be here.

2009-04-25 [Linderel]: Oh, and the link to the main page is wrong. :P

2009-04-26 [Alexi Ice]: Wow...>> I must not have been paying any attention while making this page. I feel silly! Lol. Thanks, Lin

2009-05-03 [Cillamoon]: Awesome new contest! YAY!!! Reminder to self to join this one. ^_^

2009-05-03 [Alexi Ice]: Awesome, a potential competitor! Welcome, friend!

2009-05-05 [Captain Rachel Black]: *haunts*

2009-05-05 [Cillamoon]: *ponders theme*

2009-05-06 [Daisy le Fleur]: Ooo, now this I can do.

2009-05-07 [sweet.tx.tea]: <img200*0:http://elftown.eu/img/drawing/73640_1241738520.jpg> Think this fits?

2009-05-07 [Alexi Ice]: Oh. Can you get a proof? I like it!

2009-05-07 [sweet.tx.tea]: Oh yes, I have a proof. I just don't want to submit it unless it counts. It's not too "pasty", y'know? But I effing LOVE to shoot macro. XD

2009-05-07 [Cillamoon]: It's amazing really, I'm very curious about it.

2009-05-07 [sweet.tx.tea]: XD Thank you! The skeleton key, I wear all the time. It was a gift from my best friend's grandmother. It used to open her house in Russia. Pretty awesome, right!? The pocket watch was my grandfather's in World War II. The thing in the background is a candle holder. It sat in my great grandmother's house before she moved over from Germany. A family member sent it to us about a year ago. :] It looks like a star with many points. Very pretty when lit! For the background, I used a fuzzy blanket I have that appears to look like fur. XD

2009-05-07 [Cillamoon]: I must say that I am speechless, I love it! And the story behind all the pieces really is awesome! I think more than awesome actually! :D Thank you for sharing it!

2009-05-08 [sweet.tx.tea]: Awwww. You are so sweet. :] I try to do sentimental things for contests. Unfortunately, sometimes the sentiment is wasted. :/ I am glad to find people who appreciate it. XD

2009-05-08 [Cillamoon]: Yeah, well, I value sentimentality in objects, the memories they hold. And how when you think about them it's almost as if you can recall the memories as if it was only yesterday.

2009-05-08 [sweet.tx.tea]: Our similiarity makes me smile. :D And, I know that feeling entirely.
